State Audit of the Assessor's Office
The State Board of Equalization annually retains a private independent firm to audit each county's compliance with statutory assessment procedures and report on the accuracy of the property values in all 64 Colorado counties. The Denver Assessor's Office is proud to have passed its 2011 audit. No negative findings, comments or recommendations were reported by the auditor, Wildrose Appraisal Inc., and all 2011 valuation statistics continue to be better than professional standards.
