Comments from Auditor Dennis Gallagher:   "As Auditor Offices around the nation are being targeted for elimination, I dispatched a letter to the Nebraska legislature to strengthen Tom Cavanaugh’s powers as the Douglas County Auditor (Omaha).  I am please to report the Nebraska legislation listened and defeated the bill to eliminate the Auditor’s Office in Omaha."
