DENVER, CO ­— March 8, 2010 — Denver Parks and Recreation is beginning work this month on a series of trail upgrades and enhancements to revitalize Denver’s renowned multi-use trail system. This trail revitalization program, funded by the Better Denver Bond Program, will greatly improve the trail users experience throughout the City.

DENVER, CO ­— March 5, 2010 — District 9 City Councilwoman Judy Montero and Denver Parks and Recreation announced today an agreement to re-allocate $730,000 from the Capital Improvement Program for District 9 to Recreation in order to fund operations at La Alma Recreation Center for the next two years.

In cooperation with the City and County of Denver, Denver Zoo will begin draining Duck Lake on February 9, 2010, in City Park. The drainage will allow critical improvements to the lake that borders Denver Zoo.
Deadline for feedback extended to March 15
The City of Denver Department of Parks & Recreation is looking for public feedback and comment on the draft recommendations developed by the committees and the department. Comments will be accepted electronically through Monday, March 15. A final draft will be available for public comment in Spring 2010.
