Volunteers and Park Stewardship
Denver Parks and Recreation Volunteer Office

The Volunteer Office is a division of the Department of Parks and Recreation which combines the community with projects & programs. Our mission is dedicated to customer satisfaction and enhancing lives by providing innovative programs and safe, beautiful, sustainable places.

Our goal is to bring together Denver’s residential, schools, and business to work with the Department of Parks and Recreation on volunteer projects.

Volunteer and community involvement deepens the understanding of the importance of our resources and reaches individuals at an entry or grass-root involvement up to a very formal level of involvement. Programs and participation should strive to educate all involved volunteers or people who contribute time, talents or resources. This benefit to the department will directly reflect favorably on the reputation of our agency and improve public perception and understanding of the breadth of work and services we need to offer and can offer through volunteerism.
