City Council - Paul D. López, District 3
Dear Neighbors,
Since elected as your City Councilman, I must say that I am very honored to represent the hardworking residents of Council District 3. I am proud to say that over the past two years, we have made good progress. The goal of increasing economic vitality in our neighborhoods and business corridors has begun.

We welcome a shiny new Walgreens drug store to the neighborhood, the redevelopment of Alameda Square, the Neighborhood Marketplace Initiative and revitalization on Morrison Rd., the reconstruction of South Federal Blvd. in 2010, and the completion of the West Corridor light rail project in 2011 to improve access to public transit for West Denver residents.

Our public alleys and streets are being paved and our parks and neighborhoods are cleaner, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our city workers, residents, businesses and community partners. Last year, we recruited over 1,000 volunteers, who spent over 12,000 volunteer hours on our streets by removing graffiti, participating in neighborhood cleanups and signing residents up for a recycling program – rekindling the spirit of pride in our neighborhoods.

Finally, as you already know, we still face serious economic and social challenges that affect our ability to make ends meet, raise our families and live our dreams. Despite many challenges, I start every day with even more energy to fight for our Westside neighborhoods and people and will continue to stand up for the thousands of working families and individuals that make up District 3.
 !VIVA EL DISTRITO 3!
Councilman Paul D. López
