The Denver Education Compact is Mayor Hancock's initiative to create a new and binding agreement requiring the City, Denver Public Schools, higher education and community stakeholders to make specific commitments to improve education throughout Denver. The Compact will focus the community’s efforts and resources in areas that will have the greatest impact in helping Denver’s children to succeed from cradle to career. The Executive Committee will meet regularly to define specific priorities and goals, identify measurements of progress and develop tools of accountability. In addition to the three co-chairs and the Executive Committee, the Compact will be led by Executive Director Theresa Peña.
