Community Recreation

Community Recreation plans, implements, and administers recreation programs for the entire Denver community, with specific emphasis on serving those who do not typically participate in, or have access to, traditional recreation center-based programs. Some of our programs include the S.O.A.R. (Social Opportunities, Arts, and Recreation) After School Programs (3 sites), the Scholars After School Programs (7 sites), and the Middle School Clubs (9 sites). These programs are located in various Denver Public Schools throughout the city. Community Recreation collaborates with recreation centers, Adaptive Recreation , and other community agencies and institutions dedicated to serving the needs of the youth in our communities.
