American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
This advisory committee for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was created by Mayor Hickenlooper to ensure that the funds that Denver receives as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act are spent effectively and transparently.
Similar to the roles of the federal and state oversight boards, the committee’s job is to ensure that the agencies who are managing the funding do so with transparency and accountability as directed by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The mission of the committee is oversight – not management.
The committee will also provide additional avenues for communication to the general public and the individuals, organizations, and sectors they represent.
